This building was built on June 8, 1983 and is the oldest school building in Daejoen. Its size is 2120㎡, and it had been used as the Daejeon Samseong Elementary School for 52 years until the year 1989. However the chief of education affairs(Pak Kyong Won) in Daejeon changed it in February, 1990 and transformed it into a museum on December 26th. Especially during World War II the Japanese army stayed in the school, On June 25, 1950, the north Koreans, who were the enemies and the United Nations(U.N.), who were the allies stayed in the school, On the left of the main room, you can see the bullet marks from the U.N. allies which is a remainder of the miserable history. In 1943, Daejeon Education School used this building and many students had studied within this valuable historical building. The museum was specified as a cultural center on August 23, 2002
