Neungseong Castle
This fortress, 300 meters in perimeter, is made of stones that were piled up in layers around the Birumdul(hill). There remain traces of the east and south gates. However, most parts of the castle have been destroyed which does not enable determination of its original shape.
Inside the fortress, several pieces of artifacts belonging to Baekje Kingdom were excavated. It is speculated that the fortress was used to defend the attack from the armies of Silla Kingdom, which was one of the three Kingdoms ruling the Korean territory at the time.
