This 240-meter high mountain fortress was built during the Baekje Kingdom by piling stones around the summit of the mountain. When looked down from above, the fortress is oval-shaped and its perimeter is relatively small with about 350 meters.
Most parts of the fortress walls have been destroyed so as to make it impossible to determine its original shape. The only remains are the traces on the southern wall that stones had once been stacked.
The flat area near the summit of the fortress is presumed to be a site of a building. Inside the fortress, pieces of earthenware dishes dating back to the Baekje Kingdom have been excavated.
There is a round-shaped flat facility located 50 meters southeast of the fortress that is believed to be the Bongsudae(beacon site), which was built to guard the road that leads to Okcheon.
