Nogo Mountain fortress is located at the peak of a mountain which rises 250 meters above sea level and stretches along an area of approximately 300 meters in perimeter. Most of the fortress walls have been destroyed and at present, only the remains of the south wall is preserved. To the southwest of the fortress stands Gyejoksanseong(mountain fortress) and when looking down to the east, one can see the road linking Okcheon(county) and Munui(town). As for its gates, only the site of the south gate, presumed to be 2.3 meters wide, has been discovered.
The flat area near the summit of the fortress is presumed to be a site of a building. Inside the fortress, pieces of earthenware dishes dating back to the Baekje Kingdom have been excavated.
There is a round-shaped flat facility located 50 meters southeast of the fortress that is believed to be the Bongsudae(beacon site), which was built to guard the road that leads to Okcheon.
