Gobong Fortress
This fortress is a temoe type stone fortress on top of the peak of Gobongsan Mountain standing at 304m. Its diameter is about 250m. The fortress walls have almost all collapsed and there is just about 3 levels of stone left around the western wall.
This fortress has good view to the south on Jiltijae Pass and it seems to have been built for the purpose of monitoring people passing through Jiltijae Pass. Also, it seems to have served the role as the outpost of Jilhyeon Castle due to the fact that it was close to Jilhyeon Castle.
