Wooden Plates of Songjadaejeon
The wooden printing blocks of Songjadaejeon comprise literary works and essays of Song si-yeol(1607-1689), whose penname was Uam. Song's collection was first printed using metal printing blocks in the 43rd year of the reign of King Sukjong(1717), which was then printed using wooden printing blocks in the 11th year of the reign of King Jeongjo(1787).
The original wooden printing blocks were burnt to ashes in 1907 when fire occurred in the Jangpangak building where they were stored. The present blocks were recarved in 1929.
