The statue is located at the left wall of the main building in Go San Temple, facing the east. Although restoration was necessary for the golden coating, it can be clearly seen that the overall preservation is quite impressive. The Buddha statue is depicted in a seated position with his wide legs crossed. His posture is slightly bent forward, while his hands are positioned in such a way that repels the devil. A notable feature of the Buddha statue is that his hair is neatly lined in an orderly fashion. His face is slightly long and rectangular, while his eyes are cast down and lips are tightly shut- lending an air of solemnity. Meanwhile, his tall nose and faint smile subtly lingering around his lips suggest his gentleness.
The ridge between his eyebrows is very clear. His earlobes and earflaps are full and long, while his neck reveals a clear delineation of the ThreeWays.
His hands are gestured in a pose that repels the devil. Aside from depicting his gesture proportional to the rest of his body, his gesture is also depicted with a flawless sense of balance. The clothing covering his shoulder appears to be made of thin silk. Although the statue appears with only a few creases, the overall flow of the clothing delineates a very smooth flowing curve.
